2 Town Of Babylon Businesses Shut Down During SLA Inspection: PD
An Amityville deli and West Babylon bar were issued violations and closed down during state liquor inspections this past weekend.
TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Two Town of Babylon businesses were shut down this past weekend during State Liquor Authority inspections, according to Suffolk police.
First, on Friday officials conducted an inspection at M&B Deli and Grocery on 571 Broadway in Amityville at 8:40 p.m.
During the inspection, 25-year-old Kenneth Abreau-Duran, of Hollis, Queens was charged with four counts of ABC Law: allowing consumption of beer on-premise, and expired food certificate of the agriculture and market law, police said.

The Town of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force also issued 15 summons for combined building, fire, and code violations to the owner/manager of the deli.
The business was then condemned and closed.

Then on Saturday, another inspection took place at the Pour House Tavern on 608 Sunrise Highway in West Babylon at 10:35 p.m.
According to police, during the inspection, officers arrested the following three men:
- The owner Rory Forlano, 40, of Islip Terrace was charged with possession of gambling devices and two counts of disorderly premise.
- A bartender Steven Giordano, 33, of Bay Shore was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
- A patron, Terrill Clancy, 48, of Deer Park was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The Town of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force issued six combined building, fire and code violations to the owner and the establishment was closed for the night.
