The Adventure Park Of Long Island Re-Opens With Changes

WHEATLEY HEIGHTS, NY — The Adventure Park at Long Island in Wheatley Heights officially re-opened on Friday amid the coronavirus pandemic — with some new changes.

Visitors were able to return to the zip line and treetop climbing experience starting on Friday.

The park, which is the largest attraction of its kind on Long Island, includes 14 different courses, including 26 zip lines, and 185 different elements.

This year, the park will include three new trails at challenge levels of yellow, green, and blue, adding 42 new challenges and 4 new ziplines.

"We are thrilled to open our Long Island Park for the season as we know everyone is eager to get outdoors for fun and exciting activities," Candie Fisher, VP, Sales and Marketing for The Adventure Park, stated.

To keep with COVID-19 guidelines, the park will offer space for social distancing and clean all-high touch areas before and after guest use. In addition, masks will be required on the ground and whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.

For opening week, the park will open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

After that, The Adventure Park will only be open on the weekends for its spring schedule which will take place until June 16. The hours will then be Fridays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
