Argyle Falls To Be Renamed In Honor Of Late Mayor Scordino
The Ralph A. Scordino Memorial Falls are being restored, a project the long-time Babylon Village mayor helped make happen.

BABYLON, NY— Argyle Falls, the Babylon Village landmark located in Argyle Park, will soon have a new official designation. Village board members approved a resolution in November to rename the waterfalls to Ralph A. Scordino Memorial Falls. The park will remain Argyle Park.
Scordino spearheaded the restoration of the falls that is currently underway.
The Village of Babylon's latest Facebook announcement updated residents on the progress of the restoration project.

"Staircases are being completed, cement has been poured and we're looking pretty good."
The project is slated to be complete by 2021.

Scordino was mayor of Babylon Village for 16 years until his death this October at age 71.
