Cleo was an owner surrender due to the owner not having enough time for her and an issue with the landlord allowing a dog. The owner described Cleo as a dog that hadn't any exposure to kids or other dogs, but she did get along with cats. Cleo hadn't been acclimated to a crate and was known to chew the furniture, attempt escaping, and chasing cars and bicycles. Cleo was adopted and returned to us a month later due to showing food and resource guarding. Cleo continued to attempt escape and chase cars and bicycles in her adopted home. At the shelter we have found Cleo to be very energetic and she is very proficient at the sit and down commands. Cleo likes to play fetch and she also likes her training treats. Cleo seeks a home where she can be managed and maintained for the behaviors she has. This is a young dog who has the potential to excel with guidance and reprogramming.
