Babylon Ramen Restaurant O.G. Ramen Opens In Village
The eatery features variations of the popular Japanese soup dish with elevated ingredients and a focus on health.

BABYLON, NY — Ramen restaurants normally offer classic versions of the comfort dish: Japanese noodles in broth with various meat and vegetable toppings. O.G. Ramen which opened Thursday in Babylon Village is elevating the popular meal with healthier ingredients and preparations.
The restaurant, at 14a Railroad Ave., had a soft opening this week to introduce diners to their unique version of ramen on offer. Instead of soy sauce, their bowls are based on "coconut aminos, which do not contain any soy, wheat or gluten products and contain about 70% less sodium," according to the restaurant's website. There is also an emphasis on filtered water, fresh ingredients and the use of Himalayan salt.
The menu has five versions of ramen bowls, including one fully vegan option and one for kids. There are also five types of rice bowls and vegetable dishes like cucumber and green bean salads.
