Don Ricardo's Announces Closure After 30 Years In Business

After three decades in business, the restaurant will be serving its last dinner on Thursday.

BABYLON, NY - A Babylon restaurant will be serving its last dinner on Thursday after 30 years in business.

Don Ricardo's, located on 94 E. Main Street, will be closing, according to a post on the Village of Babylon Facebook page.

The closing comes after the owners Ricardo and Monica Benavides announced their retirement.

"It's so hard to day good-bye," the post reads. "As bittersweet as it will be, we wish Ricardo and Monica Benavides all the best in their retirement and thank them for the many memories, the laughs, the delicious food, great service and of course, 30 years serving families in Babylon Village and throughout Long Island"

Dinner will begin at 5 p.m.

"We are very emotional, because we had so many beautiful memories here," Monica told GreaterBabylon. "Beautiful customers. Everybody knows us. We met so many good friends through this place. So right now we are very sad."
