Babylon School Budget Approved, 2 New Trustees Elected

The budget includes a 1.28 percent increase in the school tax levy.

BABYLON, NY — Residents in the Babylon School District have approved a 2021-21 school budget by a margin of 904 to 262.

The $56.4 million budget is a 1.46 percent increase over the current year and includes a 1.28 percent increase in the school tax levy, within the state's tax cap.

David Sonkin and Theresa Patiri both won seats on the school board left open by incumbents Tricia Pane and Ann Donaldson.
