Adams released a statement on Facebook following the news of the election results.
There are not enough words to describe my gratitude and deep appreciation to all our Babylon Village residents and families for their support and encouragement in our Village elections held yesterday. As I was humbled and so very honored to serve as a Village Trustee beginning in 2016, so am I now to serve as the Mayor of this wonderful place we call “HOME”…Babylon Village.
I congratulate my colleagues, Deputy Mayor Frank Seibert, Trustee Dom Bencivenga and Trustee Tony Cardali on their victories as well. However, this is not about “US.” It is about our entire community. All that we love about it, all our history and traditions, our future and of course, our families and our children.
I am truly grateful for every day that I serve our community and will never forget that special moment in 2016 when our beloved Mayor Scordino asked me to consider serving as a Village Trustee.
I thank our wonderful downtown business district and all our volunteer organizations for their contributions in making our Village the best place it can be and I look forward to continue working with them.
In the words of Steve Jobs : “The only way to do great work, is to love what you do.” Great work continues with what we do best …taking care of the Village we love, preserving our history and traditions, enjoying our quality of life and doing always what is in the best interests of Babylon Village. Every day.
