The contest, which is free for participants, will end at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13. Judging will take place on Monday between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., so participants should make sure that all lights and decorations are in place and activated at that time.

The contest is for outdoor decorations only, including decorations in windows that can be seen from outside. Judging, which will be based on "curb appeal," will be done from outside the homes only.
Decorations must be on the street side of the property to be judged, homes on corner lots will be judged from both streets. Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards. Judges will look at unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; story-line or theme; display and placement of decorations; and overall presentation.
Participants agree to have their address and photos of their decorated home posted on the BBS website and Facebook page as well as the Village of Babylon Facebook page.
Winners will be announced next Friday, Dec. 18 by 5 p.m.
