BHS Theatre presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel - All School Musical
In 2000, Time Magazine called Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel the most influential stage musical of the 20th century. With its hauntingly beautiful score and deeply moving story, Carousel continues to remain one of the most beloved American musicals. This year marks the 70th anniversary of its premiere on Broadway and Carousel is as fresh and relevant today as ever before. Come explore the universal themes of redemption, acceptance, and fate at the Babylon High School production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. We guarantee you will recognize the songs, many of which have been covered over the years by artists like Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Nina Simone, Elvis Presley, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Art Garfunkel, and Barbra Streisand.
