The Bristal at West Babylon has 127 assisted living suites, and 41 additional suites that are located in the Reflections Memory Care neighborhood dedicated to providing care for residents with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments.
“We have created an environment where our parents and grandparents can be cared for, where their dignity is protected, where their strengths are cultivated and encouraged, and where they are able to achieve, perhaps, what they thought they no longer could,” said Jan Burman, President of The Engel Burman Group. “I am proud of the quality of life that we bring to each resident at The Bristal, and again, I am so pleased that we are able to offer our services to loving and devoted families across Long Island.”

Senior citizens have become the largest and fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population. The United States’ 65-and-over population has grown by over 15% in the last 15 years and now represents 13% of the U.S. population. 29% of Nassau and Suffolk residents are over age 55. Long Island has a higher share of adults over 55 than other suburban communities in New York.
“Over the last nineteen years, The Bristal name has defined high quality assisted living,” said Steven Krieger, a founding partner of The Engel Burman Group. “The Bristal has become synonymous with the best care available for our loved ones who no longer choose to live on their own, or those who need a little extra help.”
“I can tell you that what The Bristal does is a success, because we are dedicated to meeting – and exceeding – the needs and expectations of the residents in our care as well as their families,” said Scott Burman, a partner at The Engel Burman Group. “I’m proud of the fact that as we continue to grow and build in different locations across our region, we are enabling more and more families to stay close to their loved ones, allowing for residents to receive the compassionate care and attention that they so desperately deserve.”
“The Bristal at West Babylon is a welcomed addition to our community that will serve our district’s elderly population with the care and dignity they deserve,” said Assemblywoman Christine Pellegrino. “I look forward to working with the staff and residents in the future and am proud to be their representative in Albany.”
“The ability to continue living independently with help nearby will be a great arrangement for so many senior citizens in our community,” said Babylon Councilman Terry McSweeney.
“Taking care of Long Island’s senior population is one of our most important duties as a community,” said Babylon Councilman Antonio Martinez. “The impressive staff and the amenities that The Bristal Assisted Living has to offer does that. I encourage our residents to come and learn about the great services they provide as they join our community.”
