Cedar Beach's Salt Shack Will Open For Memorial Day Weekend

BABYLON, NY—The Salt Shack at Cedar Beach will open Friday for Memorial Day weekend, but because of changes to Babylon Town beach rules, only residents will be able to eat and drink at the seaside restaurant.

The Salt Shack will serve to-go food and drinks beginning 11 a.m. Friday and be open until Monday. Patrons need to take their orders to their own chairs as on-site drinking and dining will not be allowed.

Babylon town beach permits go on sale June 1, but unlike in previous years, they are only available at Phelps Lane park in North Babylon and not at Cedar Beach Marina.
