Fire Breaks Out At Amityville Home Where Fatal Shooting Occurred
The fire broke out at the Amityville home less than two days after a 28-year-old man was shot to death at the same house.
NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A house fire broke out at a North Amityville home less than two days after a fatal shooting was reported in the same home early Sunday, according to Suffolk Police.
Arson Section detectives are investigating the fire that occurred at the Somerset Road home. The fire was reported at 12:45 a.m.
On Friday night, 28-year-old Elbert Wright, of Massapequa, was found dead from a gunshot wound at the same home after an altercation, police said. The shooter fled the scene and is still at large.
