First Babylon Block Party Of 2019 To Kick Off Thursday

Despite the expected rain the event will still take place, it will just be moved indoors. Check out what you need to know before the party.

BABYLON, NY - The first of four Babylon Block Parties will kick off Thursday night — despite the weather.

The event was originally scheduled for July 13 but was rescheduled for Thursday due to the rain.

While the forecast calls for more rain Thursday night, the Chamber of Commerce announced the party will still go on, it will just be indoors.

"Guys, weather calls are always so tough to make with today's forecast, we are moving the party inside," a message on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page reads. "Come down to Babylon Village tonight and shop and dine with us. Your favorite restaurants and merchants will still be open late and running great promotions."

All block parties will begin at 5 p.m. along Deer Park Avenue.

For those who still don't want to venture out in the rain, there are three more block parties scheduled. The next events will take place on August 15, August 29 and September 12.
