Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Long Island
Severe storms may impact the region, the National Weather Service says.

The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Long Island: There is a low chance of strong to severe thunderstorms, mainly tonight. The main threat is from gusty winds.
Severe storms are expected to develop in upstate New York and Pennsylvania Monday afternoon and then approach Long Island at night.
"The question is, how fast would any such storms weaken as the move into an area dominated by a marine airmass in the low levels," the NWS said in a forecast discussion. "The main threat will be from gusty winds, but large hail cannot be completely ruled out."
