High Notes for Babylon Musicians

More than two dozen Babylon students selected to participate in SCMEA festivals.

Based on teacher recommendations and their New York State School Music Association evaluations, 28 Babylon School District students-musicians were selected to participate in the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association All-County festivals this winter.

Additionally, based on a separate application process, Aubrey Alvino received a full scholarship from SCMEA to further her alto saxophone studies by attending a seven-week program USDAN this summer. Only four such awards were given this year. USDAN Center for the Creative and Performing Arts is the nation’s preeminent not-for-profit summer day school of the arts located in Huntington, NY.
