Man Robbed 4 Long Island 7-Eleven Stores: PD

Jonathan Moore, 32, is accused of robbing 7-Eleven stores in West Babylon, East Farmingdale, Commack and Deer Park.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A man was arrested early Monday and accused of robbing four Long Island 7-Eleven stores in five days, according to Suffolk police.

Jonathan Moore, 32, who is homeless, robbed the 7-Eleven at 350 Broadhollow Rd. in East Farmingdale on Monday around 3 a.m., police said. He placed the items on the checkout counter and when the clerk opened the cash register, he wrestled the drawer from the employee and fled in a black Honda Accord being driven by another man, who has not been identified, police said.

The car, which was reported stolen Saturday from Walmart at 965 Broadhollow Rd., was found a short time later on North 11th Street in Wyandanch, police said.

Moore was found hiding under a bush in front of a home on Straight Path in West Babylon and fled from officers, police said. He was then found under a car on the same street and taken into custody at 4:08 a.m., police said.

  • 915 Straight Path, West Babylon, on May 13 at 4:55 a.m.
  • 137 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, on May 15 at 5:20 a.m.
  • 385 Commack Road, Deer Park, on May 17 at 1:10 a.m.

Police said they are looking for information on the other man involved in the robberies.

Moore was charged with three counts of second-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal trespass, obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Moore was held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.
