Man Found Dead In Water Off Tanner Park
The 51-year-old launched his personal watercraft Sunday night and was found dead the following morning, police said.
COPIAGUE, NY — A Babylon man was found dead in the water off Tanner Park in Copiague Monday morning, according to Suffolk police.
Joseph Kelly, 51, launched his personal watercraft from Amityville at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. When he did not come back to shore, an acquaintance called police at 7:50 a.m.
Following a search, Kelly and his watercraft were found in the water south of Tanner Park at 11 a.m. He was pronounced dead by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
