Obituary: Patrick Henry, Former Suffolk County DA, Dies At 88

Died: June 22, 2018

Visitation: Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home on 1225 Montauk Highway in West Islip.

Service: Friday, July 27 starting at 11 a.m. at the St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal Church on 500 West Montauk Highway in Bay Shore.

Obituary: Patrick Henry, formerly of Babylon Village, passed away surrounded by his family at his Bay Shore home on Sunday, July 22. He was 88.

Henry was a retired New York State Supreme Court Justice as well as a former Suffolk County District Attorney.

He served as Lieutenant in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran as well as an officer in the United States Merchant Marine.

Henry was a volunteer with Babylon Village Fire Department, Phoenix Hose Co. for 63 years.

He graduated from Dwight High School and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy before attending law school at Washington & Lee University.

He was predeceased by his wife Theresa Lennon Henry and his brother, Capt. Thomas E. Henry.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret Daly as well as his children; Lindsay P. Henry, Jennifer A. Henry, James Henry, Margaret Henry (Bradley) Shaw and Elizabeth Henry Kennedy.

In addition, Henry is survived by his grandchildren; Sarah Henry, Theresa Henry, Elizabeth McCabe, Aidan McCabe, Trevor Henry, Emma Henry, Jack Henry, Blake Shaw, Patrick Shaw, William Shaw, James Kennedy, Ian Kennedy, and Katherine Kennedy.

Burial will take place at the Babylon Rural Cemetery in Babylon.
