Pennsylvania dog is still missing on Long Island
The Christmas miracle we wished for that never came.

On 11/30/20 , Jackson , unfamiliar to this area, escaped a family members vehicle in Copiague, NY who was to be dog sitting at the time for his out of state owner Bree , who resided in Pennsylvania at the time. Sadly, Jackson immediately escaped when they opened the door and unfortunately was not wearing a collar or any ID at the time he escaped . He is 2yrs old, Medium size and 48 pounds . Jackson , who is unfamiliar with this state is still missing . He had been seen mulitple times in the same area that same week he escaped but was unable to be located when family members and Babylon Animal Shelter of Amityville were out searching for him. He was then seen on Southern State Parkway between exits 32/33 Amityville area on December 6, 2020 by passerby’s . On December 7, 2020 , according to a post on “ring” , seen on Facebook, Jackson was seen in Seaford , NY by many residents , who tried to secure Jackson , along with the assistance of the 7th precinct Highway Dept in Seaford. Jackson, who , according to the officers, was so terrified, he had jumped the large divider near Exit 3 on the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway over to the residential area and is now the last time he has been seen . He could be anywhere by now and very possible he is searching for his owner . “Missing Angels-Long Island” , a group along with their team on Facebook , who has assisted many over the years with reuniting lost and found pets along with trapper Paul Dennison , trapper and tracker Teddy Henn and tracking dog Winston of “Long Island Lost Dog Search & Rescue” are still searching . Jackson is terrified, hungry , cold, alone and Lost on Long Island . We are absolutely heartbroken for this boy . Just imagine the fear this boy has of being alone and trying to survive . It is now Christmas Eve and he is still missing . We are asking everyone’s help by checking their yards and all surrounding areas for him and to contact us immediately. Please help us get him home for Christmas . As of January 8, 2021 , Jackson never made it home for Christmas , and our last sighting is still Monday, December 7, 2020 in Seaford heading south towards Massapequa/Bellmore . If anyone is willing to help hang more flyers , please contact us and we will provide them . It is a possibility that he may be in the preserve or staying in someone’s yard and Is unknown as to who to reach out to if seen .
