As a social-emotional component of “Pick a Reading Partner Month,” Babylon kindergartners in Emily Moran’s in-person class and Alexa Brown’s virtual class recently joined forces for an educational and fun “kindergarten playdate.”

Using video-conferencing platform Microsoft Teams, the two classes participated in a joint read aloud and collaborated on a St. Patrick’s Day-themed project that blended mathematics and art.

Students from both classes were provided with the same materials and completed the same steps simultaneously, allowing them to feel connected despite their physical distance.
