BABYLON, NY — Move over, Robert Moses: Another famous Babylon Village resident might be immortalized in sculpture form soon. A Bay Shore resident has launched a petition for a Rodney Dangerfield statue to be erected in Argyle Park.

The comedian famed for not getting any "respect" was born in Babylon Village in 1921 before moving to Queens as a child. The petition's founder, Dave Irwin, told Newsday that he found Dangerfield's exact birth place, a home that's since been torn down near Ralph Ave. The petition has garnered 1,936 signatures as of Tuesday.

Dangerfield died in 2004.
