'Remarkably Cooler' Weather For Long Island This Weekend
Hello, fall. How cold will it get? We'll let you know.

Friday is the second of fall, but Mother Nature is going to wait one more day before switching its season gears.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s on Long Island Friday and it may very well end up being the last decent beach day (if you can skip out of work) until next summer. Because once Saturday rolls around, there will be a very noticeable fall chill in the air.
The National Weather Service says it will be "remarkably cooler" on Saturday as temperatures will struggle to get out of the 60s. And on Saturday night, you may actually need to crank on the heat a little bit as the mercury drops into the 40s on some parts of the island.
