Stop & Shop Honors Graduating Associates Who Served on Frontline

Babylon Supervisor Richard Schaffer delivered the keynote address and presented a proclamation and certificates of appreciation during a graduation ceremony to ten Stop & Shop associates who are scheduled to graduate from college and high school this month.

The associates walked a red carpet as Pomp and Circumstance, the graduation march, was played. Stop & Shop West Babylon honored their graduating associates who balanced their academic and workplace responsibilities amid the pandemic.

Stop & Shop Store Manager Patty Kanfer says these young people are exemplary and Stop & Shop is very pleased to be able to honor them and their families with this in-store graduation. Among the colleges the associates will be attending: Stony Brook, SUNY Cortland, Bloomsburg University, Texas Southern, Mount St Mary College, SUNY Brockport and Queens College. One of the honorees is graduating from High Point University in North Carolina.
