Storm Wallops Babylon, Many Still Without Power: PHOTOS

A severe thunderstorm rumbled through Long Island Thursday night. Check out some photos of the damage in the article.

BABYLON, NY - A severe storm slammed Long Island on Thursday, hitting areas like Babylon particularly hard.

The area was hit with a serious thunderstorm along with 60 mph winds, causing downed trees and power outages all across the island.

In Babylon there are 143 residents and in West Babylon there are 3,707 residents without power as of Friday morning, according to the PSEG power outage map. Power is expected to be fully restored by Saturday at 7:45 a.m.
