Teen Charged In Connection To Attempted Bank Robbery: Police

The 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday in connection to the attempted robbery back in January, police said.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A teenager was arrested on Wednesday in connection to an attempted robbery at a West Babylon bank back in January, according to Suffolk police.

On Jan. 14, a man entered Chase on 595 Sunrise Highway at 8:50 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller did not comply with the man's demands and the man fled the bank.

After an investigation, officers arrested a 16-year-old male from Brooklyn and charged him with third degree attempted robbery, police said.
