BABYLON, NY - It's almost time to sit down with the family and feast on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.
While some people — including employees at some retail stores — will be working on the holiday, many area businesses and offices will be closed, giving workers a day off.

- Post office: Closed
- Federal offices: Closed
- Village of Babylon: offices are closed.
- Town of Babylon: offices are closed. Garbage collection will be delayed a day.
- Suffolk County offices, including the circuit clerk's office, courts, health department and more will be closed on Thanksgiving
- Local schools: Closed
- Library: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- Gas stations: Open
