Tooker Avenue Celebrates 'Parents As Reading Partners' Event

Students in the West Babylon School District participated in various activities and theme days to promote reading.

During the first two weeks of March, the students at Tooker Avenue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District participated in various activities and theme days to promote reading during their annual Parents As Reading Partners event. This year’s theme was “Tooker Goes to Hollywood.”

To kick off the event, students participated in reading books that became movies. They also celebrated Dr. Seuss Day on March 2, followed by a “drop and read everything” day. Other special days included dressing as their favorite character, pajama day and dress up to walk the red carpet day.
