Town Of Babylon Extends Outdoor Dining Permits For Restaurants
Local businesses will be allowed to continue outdoor dining through the winter months.
TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — The summer may be over, but outdoor dining will continue at Town of Babylon restaurants in order to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Over the summer, as part of the NY-PAUSE reopening plan, town officials started allowing local restaurants to submit plans to permit socially-distanced outdoor dining in spaces that didn't previous have tables.
Now, the town have decided to extend the permissions for outdoor dining through the winter months.

"With indoor gatherings the cause of much of the spread of COVID-19, outdoor dining is a much safer alternative as long as weather permits," a town spokesperson told Patch. "Supervisor Schaffer and the entire Town Board remain committed to assisting businesses as much as possible as they continue to struggle due to COVID-19."
