Man Drove Truck At Teen Protester In West Babylon: Police
The man reportedly shouted "White lives matter." She video of the encounter.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A man was arrested after police said he drove his truck at a teenage protester in West Babylon earlier this week.
The man, whose identity was not released by police, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
The encounter happened Tuesday, police said. The 16-year-old was standing in front of the 7-Eleven at 900 Little East Neck Rd. at 6:45 p.m.

The teen, Scarlet Lara, told ABC 7 she was with two other girls holding signs and chanting, "Black live matter!"
ABC 7 reported the man went into the 7-Eleven and Lara said he told them, "White lives matter. You don't belong here. Get out of my neighborhood."

The man got back in his truck and drove at the girls on the curb, nearly hitting Lara, she told the news station.
