Village Of Babylon Court Closed For In-Person Sessions

While in-person court appearances have been canceled, virtual arraignments will still be in session.

BABYLON, NY — The Village of Babylon announced on Wednesday that in-person appearance at the local courts have been canceled. Officials made the decision to close the courts to in-person sessions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Virtual arraignments will still be in session. Those who wish to participate must provide the court with an email address and phone number within five days of receiving their ticket.

Once the court receives the information, you will be sent via email a Microsoft Teams link for a future virtual appearance date and time. In order to connect, you must download the Microsoft Teams app.

Fines will increase 30 days past the issue date.
