West Babylon AP Students Honored by College Board
Seventy-five students and recent graduates from West Babylon were honored by the College Board for excelling on national AP exams.
West Babylon School District’s Advanced Placement Scholars were honored by the College Board for their exceptional achievement on the national AP exams.
In total, 75 West Babylon Senior High School current students and members of the Class of 2015 were recognized. AP Scholar honors are awarded based on the number of exams taken and the students’ scores on those exams. West Babylon students earned the following:
· 49 students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving a score of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.

· 15 students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of 3.25 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of those exams.
· Nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher on five or more of these exams.

· In addition, two students — senior Alexander Barrett and Class of 2015 graduate Jason Meurlin — received the highest designation of National AP Scholar by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
