WEST BABYLON -- Looks like West Babylon has gone to the birds.

After one local resident, 75-year-old William Thompson, began feeding pigeons at his home, he started to attract dozens of birds to the neighborhood, which lead to several complaints from neighbors, according to a report in Newsday. While Thompson says he stopped feeding them, the birds continued to flock to the area.

To help solve this problem, Town of Babylon officials hired Franklin Square-based Bye Bye Birdie to trap and remove the pigeons in the area wreaking havoc for some residents.
