86-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Auburndale Home: Police
Authorities are investigating whether a burned space heater could be to blame for the man's death, according to a news report.
AUBURNDALE, QUEENS — Authorities found an 86-year-old man dead in his Auburndale home Thursday afternoon, after a friend who hadn't heard from him called 911, according to police and a news report.
Inside the 194th Street home, officers found James Murphy dead next to a burned space heater, the New York Daily News reported.
Murphy had suffered some burns and was in a chair that was also burned, according to the Daily News.
