Backpack Fundraiser Launches By Bayside Real-Estate Firm

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A real-estate firm is hosting a back-to-school backpack event for Bayside children going to school for the 2017-2018 year.

The fourth, annual Backpacks To School, sponsored by Keller Williams Realty Landmark, is aiming to collect 1,500 backpacks and school supplies for children in need by an Aug. 30 deadline.

A suggested donation of at least $25 will also be accepted, but the real-estate firm will alternatively, and primarily, be accepting backpacks, composition notebooks (wide and college-ruled), pencils, pens, crayons, erasers, glue, highlighter pens, markers, folders, rulers and pencil sharpeners.

Donations can be left at the firm’s front desk with the firm’s director of first impressions at 32-55 Francis Lews Blvd., second floor.
