Bay Terrace's Allora Restaurant Seized By Tax Department
Allora Italian Kitchen & Bar reopened shortly after the state seized the business for failing to pay nearly $300,000 in taxes.

UPDATE: Allora Italian Kitchen & Bar has reopened, according to manager Vincent Perrone. A call to the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance on Friday was not returned.
BAY TERRACE, QUEENS — A Bay Terrace restaurant was closed by the state tax department for failing to pay nearly $300,000 in taxes.
The NYS Department of Taxation and Finance on Wednesday seized Allora Italian Kitchen & Bar for an unpaid tax bill of $299,986.41 dating back to 2017, according to a spokesperson for the agency. The business had three open tax warrants, two of which were for unpaid sales taxes, the spokesperson said.

Manager Vincent Perrone said the restaurant has since reopened.
The family-style restaurant at 210-35 26th Ave. has been serving Detroit-style deep dish pizza and homemade pastas since 2017.
