Bayside Couple Ties the Knot at Christmas House Long Island
Christmas and wedding bells rang as Irene Pappas and George Pangas, both of Bayside, NY, recently married at Christmas House Long Island.
BAYSIDE, NY/ RIVERHEAD, NY; December 7, 2020 – The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused many couples to postpone or cancel their weddings ceremonies due to ongoing health concerns, government occupancy restrictions, socially distant guidelines and travel rules.
This did not stop one couple – Irene Pappas and George Pangas of Bayside, New York – who wed on Saturday, December 5 at Christmas House Long Island in Riverhead, NY. The couple have known each other since 2015 and share a mutual love of the Christmas season as well as all the associated sights, sounds and traditions.
"George and I share a love for all things Christmas. It has been challenging to plan a wedding during the pandemic. However, we wanted to get married during the holiday season and be surrounded by the joyous sights, sounds, decorations and traditions of Christmas. We found what we wanted at Christmas House Long Island. Justin Schwartz and his team made us feel special and made our wedding something truly memorable. The Christmas Forest Room with its snow effects was the perfect setting for our ceremony," said newlywed Irene Pappas.

Christmas House co-producer Justin Schwartz and his team were delighted to make the couple's dream a reality. Irene and George were married in the Christmas Forest Room and later took photos in several of the other 10 Christmas themed rooms that are part of the attraction. The small, socially distant ceremony was attended by a few family members and close friends.
"When I was told that Irene and George wanted to have their wedding at Christmas House, I was honored and humbled by the request. I let them know that our team and I would do whatever we could to make their special day as special as possible. We were open for business that day, with hundreds of people scheduled to attend Christmas House, but thanks to some creative scheduling and our supportive and understanding customers, we were able to give them everything they wanted and more," said Schwartz.
