Bayside Smokefree Housing Alliance Seeks Membership
Organization Launched to Promote Smokefree Apartments in Bayside and Bay Terrace in Queens.

The Bayside Smokefree Housing Alliance (BSHA) recently became part of the Bayside and Bay Terrace landscape at its October 24, 2017 launch hosted by NY State Senator Tony Avella.
The BSHA is an advocacy group promoting the transition of multiple housing units (apartments) in the Bayside and Bay Terrace communities to become a smokefree property. The impetus of the founding of this community organization was the recent transition of North Shore Towers' 1,844 apartments transitioning to a smokefree policy. North Shore Towers is the largest private smokefree complex in New York, and probably the United States.
If you live in a Bayside or Bay Terrace co-op, condo, or rental apartment building (including garden apartments) and desire to have your building transition to a smokefree policy then the new organization is looking for you to contact them.

The BSHA intends to reach out to all 31+ apartment property managers, landlords (including co-op Board of Directors and condo Board of Managers) and residents (including co-op shareholders and condo owners) and provide them with advantageous reasons to consider transitioning to a smokefree policy.
