BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The Stop & Shop in Bayside has launched pickup service to help customers stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic, the supermarket chain announced Tuesday.
Under the new model, shoppers can place orders online or on the Stop & Shop mobile app, then head to the store at 213-15 26th Ave., where employees will load groceries directly into their car at the chosen pickup time.
“We’re excited to offer our customers the convenience of shopping online for all their favorite items, and then picking up that order from the comfort of their vehicle,” said Carmine Verdino, manager of the Stop & Shop in Bayside. “We hope this service helps make things easier for them.”
