Bell Blvd 'Sunday Stroll' Returns To Bayside In September

The annual afternoon of family fun will return to downtown Bayside on Sept. 23, organizers announced Friday.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS -- Bayside's annual afternoon of free food, music and family fun will return to Bell Boulevard this September.

The date for this year's "Bell Boulevard Sunday Stroll" has been set for Sept. 23, organizers with the Bayside Village BID announced Friday on Twitter.

The community group urged residents to save the date for the family-friendly event, which will span three blocks of Bell Boulevard instead of two this year from 38th to 41st Avenue, organizers said.

The event, which lasts from noon to 5 p.m., will feature live music and dancing, free food tastings from local restaurants, children's games and even a few surprises, according to the Bayside Village BID.

The group did not immediately return Patch's requests for comment on specific activities for this year's event, but past attractions have included a giant bubble show, a hands-on children's science lab and an art station.

The "Sunday Stroll" is one of several annual events the Bayside Village BID hosts along Bell Boulevard.

The group's first-ever summertime Food & Music Fest took over the street in June, bringing hundreds foodies downtown to sample cuisine from more than 30 local restaurants for an all-inclusive price.
