Beloved Bayside Chinese Restaurant To Reopen Soon
Baybridge Szechuan Restaurant closed amid the pandemic. A recent post suggests that it is poised to reopen soon. Read more here.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — After a false start, a beloved Chinese restaurant in Bayside is planning to reopen soon.
Baybridge Szechuan Restaurant, which used to be located at 20806 Cross Island Parkway, shuttered during the pandemic because of high rents and the tough business market, according to a local commenter on Yelp.
At the end of April that same commenter posted a photo on Yelp suggesting that the restaurant would reopen on May 1, but when that day came and passed without any Szechuan food many locals began to lose hope — that is until someone posted in a Bayside Facebook group on Monday that the restaurant would be reopening soon.

The post garnered over 100 likes and dozens of comments, most of which were people expressing excitement and asking for details about the reopening.
In response to one person’s question about the reopening date, the original poster commented that there wasn’t a date yet, but that they would “keep everyone updated.”
