Celebrate Shabbat Across America With Temple Beth Sholom

Non-demoninational gathering in queens

Temple Beth Sholom of Flushing invites the Jewish community to participate in the 24rd annual Shabbat Across America on Friday, February 28, 2020.

“Hundreds of synagogues across the continent will take part in an historic national Jewish event to celebrate what unifies all Jews — Shabbat,” explained Rabbi Sharon Ballan. “Everyone is invited… singles, couples, families — all ages. That’s the magic of Shabbat Across America.”

According to TBS President Dr. Fay Schildkraut, by participating in this continent-wide event, Jews not only have the opportunity to experience Shabbat, but will share their experience with tens of thousands of Jews across North America.

Special musical entertainment will be provided by Cantor Jerry Korobow, Maestro David Close, and Akiva “The Believer” Wharton.

Shabbat Service begins at 6:30 PM with a dinner to follow. Attendees have a traditional kosher meal at $25 per adult, $8 per child over 5 years of age. There is limited dinner seating so please reserve early by calling the temple at (718) 463-4143.
