AUBURNDALE, QUEENS - Beloved Italian meat market D'Alessandro's Meat Center in Auburndale will close in March following a change in ownership. The meat market was sold to the owners of Marino's Supermarket, who plan to renovate the shop and reopen it at the end of June, QNS reported.
The meat market's new owner, Peter Marino, told QNS the store would "not lose anything" and would carry the same meats. He added that the new iteration of the meat market will offer more produce and prepared foods.
D'Alessandro's shared the news of the closing on Instagram on Wednesday. The market at 46-07 Hollis Court Blvd. has been in the business for 60 years.
