Douglaston Community Food Share Launches This Month

DOUGLASTON, QUEENS — A series of pop-up food pantries in Douglaston starting this month will distribute boxes of food to anyone in need.

The Douglaston Community Food Share, an initiative of the Douglaston Local Development Corporation, kicks off with an hourlong food distribution event Sunday at Zion Episcopal Church.

It will be one of eight such pop-up pantries happening through mid-June at either Zion Episcopal Church or the Community Church of Douglaston.

Flushing-based food pantry La Jornada will provide the boxes of food for each pop-up.
