BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A drive-in movie series is coming to northeastern Queens this coming month, courtesy of City Council Member Paul Vallone.

The summer program kicks off June 19 with a showing of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center, though tickets are already sold out.

Cord Meyer Development and local food businesses are collaborating on a special "movie night menu" that will be delivered to attendees' cars during the event.

Additional movie dates will take place at locations throughout Vallone's district, which reaches from College Point all the way east to Little Neck and Douglaston, according to his spokesperson, Suzanne Monteverdi.

“Sunnier days are here again, and so are drive-in movies!" Vallone said. “Bringing a nostalgic
and safe summer experience right into our backyard will empower the local community to come together safely to enjoy longer summer days, all while facilitating important social distancing."
