FDNY Investigating Fire In Bayside Home

It took a team of 106 firefighters nearly two hours to quench the flames, according to a Fire Department spokesperson.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out Tuesday morning in a Bayside home.

The fire started about 10:30 a.m. inside a home on 43rd Avenue at 220th Street, an FDNY spokesperson said.

It took a team of 106 firefighters nearly two hours to quench the flames, according to the spokesperson.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital.
