Free Zip-Line Rides Celebrate NYC Outdoor Rope Course's 10th Anniversary
Alley Pond Park celebrates with a free family event on July 29.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Alley Pond Park launched the city’s only public outdoor ropes course in 2007, and on Saturday, July 29, Alley Pond celebrates the adventure course with a 10-year anniversary extravaganza, as announced on the city’s Parks and Recreation Department website.
The Alley Pond Park Adventure Center, located on Union Turnpike in the Oakland Gardens section of Bayside, opens its doors 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a free day of fun and adventure. Featuring open access to the center’s zip line, the event will further comprise music tents, popcorn, balloons, prizes and giveaways.
Anyone at least 8 years old is invited to attend.

The center has encouraged attendees to arrive early due to limited space, and only one zip line ride will be allowed per person.
Directions to the Alley Pond Park Adventure Center are available online through the Parks and Recreation Department.
