Fresh Meadows Library's Computers, Printers To Reopen To Public

FRESH MEADOWS, QUEENS — The Fresh Meadows library's computers and printers will reopen for public use this month, following months of the library only being open for to-go service.

Computers will become available for half-hour or hour-long appointments and printer use will return starting Nov. 23, the Queens Public Library announced in a news release.

Starting Monday, reservations can be made up a week in advance to use a computer. Reservations can be made online or by phoning the library at 718-454-7272.

Computer stations will be distanced from one another and some will have barriers. Users will be required to wear masks and will be asked to wipe down all equipment before and after using it.

The Fresh Meadows library, which reopened in September, is among seven branches across the borough whose computers and printers will reopen to the public this month, the Queens Public Library said.

Additional libraries that will offer computer appointments are the Cambria Heights, East Elmhurst, Laurelton, Long Island City, Peninsula and South Ozone Park branches.

Other libraries will continue offering to-go service.
