Girl Hurls Bleach At Classmate, Hurting 5 At Bayside School: NYPD

The two 16-year-old girls and three others were sent to a local hospital after one tossed bleach at the other during an argument, cops say.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS -- Five students were injured at a Bayside high school on Friday after one student allegedly hurled bleach at her classmate in an argument, cops said.

The two 16-year-old students at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School, at 5700 223rd St., got into a fight that escalated at around 11:30 a.m. when one threw pickle juice at the other, police told Patch.

The second girl retaliated by tossing bleach at her classmate, which hit surrounding students when it splattered, authorities said.

The two girls and three others were taken to a local hospital for evaluations, but no serious injuries were reported, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

No charges have been yet been filed against either girl, the spokeswoman said.
