The Health Nuts To Close Its Bay Terrace Shopping Center Location
The Health Nuts, a local chain of health food shops, is closing its location in the Bay Terrace Shopping Center.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The Health Nuts, a local chain of health food shops, is closing its location in the Bay Terrace Shopping Center.
“We can confirm that Health Nuts intends to vacate early," Lloyd Singer, a spokesperson for Cord Meyer Development, said in an emailed statement Thursday. "While this is disappointing news, and we wish them continued good luck, we look forward to exploring new options for the space."
Cord Meyer is the real estate firm that owns the Bay Terrace Shopping Center, which has 60 retail spaces as well as office space. Six storefronts are currently vacant, according to the shopping center's website.

"As always, our priority is creating a positive experience for our tenants, shoppers, and the surrounding community," Singer said.
Singer declined to comment on the terms and details of the store's lease.

Founded in 1971, the New York-based chain's Bay Terrace store was its only location in Queens.
The Health Nuts has three locations in Manhattan and one in Westbury, Long Island, according to the company's website.
